Strikeforce Ju Jitsu is a modern blend of many different Ju Jitsu styles, reflecting the varied back ground of head coach Karl Webber. It incorporates techniques from both Japanese and Brazilian JJ, with the principle aim being to get your opponent to the ground and submit or "tap them out" using control and positioning, then various holds and locks . Students train in a Gi, which forms the basis for learning the fundamentals required to become an efficient Ju Jitsu and submission grappling practitioner. In Strikeforce JJ there are no Katas or striking, just throws, takedowns and submissions. This forms an excellent base for those wanting to become sharper in their MMA game. Karl offers a complete grading syllabus as well as the opportunity for students to compete in Ju Jitsu and submission grappling tournaments when available (these are now becoming more accessible on a regular basis).
